Infrastructures to support cancer research of excellence.

EACS proposed the establishment of three types of infrastructures focusing on translational research, clinical and prevention trials, and outcomes research. These infrastructures, embodied inCCCs or CCC-like entities, will provide researchers with access to critical mass of patients, biological materials and technological ressources, bridging research and health care. This will warrant that future scientific and social innovations benefit cancer patients across the health care systems in Europe.
