The official launch of the European Academy of Cancer Sciences was one of the highlights at the opening of the ECCO 15 - 34th ESMO Multidisciplinary Congress on 21st September, 2009 in Berlin. This special ‘track session’ focused on creating strategies which can strengthen European policy on cancer and ensure that actions to combat cancer remain at the top of the EU health and research policy agenda.
