Elections take place annually to bring in new Fellows to the Academy. On the request of the Governing Body, Fellows are asked to nominate two candidates (maximum one from their country), and the resulting list is then subject to rigorous review by the Governing Body and an anonymous voting procedure amongst the entire Academy.
